NLC India Limited Group Registers All-Time Highest Revenue and Profit for Nine Months Ended FY 2025-26

NLC India Limited announced record-breaking performance for the nine months ending December 2025. The NLCIL Group achieved its highest-ever revenue from operations at ₹12,447.07 Cr (up 8.74%) and Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹2,288.02 Cr (up 1.91%). The company also highlighted significant operational achievements, including commissioning a 300 MW Solar Plant and receiving LOA for an 110 MW Solar Project, demonstrating strong growth in renewable energy capacity.

Group Performance Highlights

The NLCIL Group reported All time Highest Ever Nine Months ended Revenue from operations totaling ₹12,447.07 Cr, marking an 8.74% growth over the previous year. Profit After Tax (PAT) also reached an All time Highest Ever figure of ₹2,288.02 Cr, showing a 1.91% increase. The Group’s EBITDA grew by 4.34% to ₹4,898.62 Cr, and Net-worth increased by 11.92% to ₹20,639.91 Cr as of 31.12.2025. Gross Power Generation stood at 20,543.12 MU, including 1,595.95 MU from RE sources.

Standalone Performance Highlights

On a standalone basis, Total Revenue from operations grew by 5.06% to ₹7,945.59 Cr. Profit After Tax (PAT) registered a growth of 3.04%, reaching ₹1,281.59 Cr. While coal production was slightly lower at 113.33 LT, the company improved its power debtors collection efficiency to 118.96% by 31.12.2025. Standalone Net-worth grew by 8.97%.

Major Operational and Project Milestones (Q3 FY 2025-26)

The announcement detailed several key milestones achieved during the third quarter, emphasizing expansion in both coal and renewables:

  • Successful COD declaration for NUPPL GTPP’s Unit II (660 MW) on 9th December 2025.
  • Talabira Mine achieved record daily output: 1,01,040 Tonnes of coal production and 91,124 Tonnes of dispatch on consecutive days in late December 2025.
  • Pachwara South Open Cast Mines commenced operations on 19th December 2025.
  • Commissioning of the highest capacity single-location Solar Plant for NLCIL: 300 MW SPP at Barsingsar on 23rd January 2026.
  • Received Letter of Award (LoA) from NCRTC for developing 110 MW (AC) Grid Connected Solar PV in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Signed a Green Loan agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for JPY 15.464 billion (USD 100 million) via subsidiary NIRL.
  • NIRL signed a JV agreement with PTC India Ltd for 2000 MW of green energy capacity and a long-term PPA with SJVNL for 200 MW Wind Power.
  • LoA issued for 4 MW PEM Electrolyser based Green Hydrogen Plant in Neyveli.

In corporate news, NLC India Limited declared an Interim Dividend of 36% (₹ 3.60 per share) for FY 2025-26, the highest in five years. The company also recorded a Capex of ₹6,242 Crore up to December 2025, exceeding the annual target by 23%. Furthermore, NLCIL secured the Silver Shield at the ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting 2024-25 and received an “Excellent” rating under the DPE MoU evaluation for FY 2024-25.
