Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of RIL, has acquired Southern Health Foods Private Limited, the maker of the leading health food brand, Manna. This strategic acquisition strengthens RCPL’s portfolio in the growing millet-based and health foods segment. Manna is known for its trusted, wide-ranging products like millet staples, baby food, and health mixes in Tamil Nadu and adjoining states. The move aligns with RCPL’s goal of offering ‘global quality at affordable price’ across nutritious food categories.

RCPL Expands Health Food Portfolio with Manna Acquisition

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) division of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), announced on February 10, 2026, that it has acquired Southern Health Foods Private Limited. This Tamil Nadu-based company is the proprietor of the well-established health food brand, Manna.

The acquisition is set to significantly bolster RCPL’s existing foods and staples portfolio, which already includes brands such as Udhaiyam, Independence, and SiL. The addition of Manna specifically targets the rapidly expanding millet-based foods segment, reinforcing RCPL’s commitment to providing nutritious options to consumers nationwide.

Manna’s Market Position

Manna has maintained a strong presence in the health-focused food market for over two decades, particularly in Tamil Nadu and neighboring regions. The brand specializes in a diverse range of offerings, including millet-based staples and mixes, drinks, and baby food.

T. Krishnakumar, Director at RCPL, stated that Manna is a highly trusted name, and its integration will enable RCPL to offer superior nutritious foods. He further noted that leveraging RCPL’s robust distribution, R&D, and supply chain capabilities would help expand Manna’s reach, making it a household name across the entire country.
