The audit revealed alleged violations of subscriber verification norms as stipulated under the License Agreement. Bharti Airtel is required to ensure proper verification of customers before enrollment, according to DoT guidelines.
Company’s Response
Bharti Airtel has decided not to contest the penalty and will proceed with payment. The maximum financial impact is limited to the penalty amount of ₹2,13,000.
