Capacity Expansion in Andhra Pradesh

Apollo Tyres will expand capacity at its Andhra Pradesh plant for Passenger Car Radial (PCR) and Truck Bus Radial (TBR) tyres. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of FY2029. Details include:

  • Existing PCR Capacity: Approximately 7.1 Mn Tyres per annum (including additions under implementation).
  • Existing TBR Capacity: Approximately 1.6 Mn Tyres per annum (including additions under implementation).

  • TBR Capacity Utilization: Approximately 89% of installed capacity.
  • Proposed PCR Addition: Approximately 3.7 Mn Tyres per annum.
  • Proposed TBR Addition: Approximately 1.3 Mn Tyres per annum.
  • Investment Required: ₹5,810 crore.
  • Mode of Financing: A mix of internal accruals and debt.

Rationale for Expansion

The company anticipates healthy short- to medium-term growth in both PCR and TBR categories. The investment is planned to incrementally expand capacity in line with expected demand.
