NHPC Limited Board Approves Interim Dividend & Project Developments

NHPC Limited’s Board of Directors has approved an interim dividend of ₹1.40 per equity share for the financial year 2025-26, with a record date of February 10, 2026. The board also approved the cancellation of an MoU with GEDCOL for floating solar power projects in Odisha. Additionally, a proposal to withdraw NHPC’s Nominee Director from PTC India Limited’s Board and relinquish NHPC’s status as a promoter was greenlit.

Interim Dividend Approved

The Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend at the rate of 14% (₹1.40 per equity share) on the face value of paid-up equity shares of ₹10 each for the financial year 2025-26. The record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the interim dividend is February 10, 2026.

MoU Cancellation

The board approved the cancellation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Promoters’ Agreement signed with Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (GEDCOL). This agreement was for the formation of a JV Company intended to implement floating solar power projects in Odisha’s water reservoirs.

PTC India Limited Proposal

A proposal for the withdrawal of the Nominee Director of NHPC Limited from the Board of Directors of PTC India Limited (PTC) has been approved. This includes relinquishing NHPC Limited’s status and rights as a ‘Promoter’ of PTC, following an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, dated January 16, 2026.

Subansiri Lower Project Update

One unit of 250 MW (Unit#2) of the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Project has been commissioned. Revenue recognized provisionally as unbilled sales amounted to ₹50.36 Crore.

The Company has also commissioned the second Unit of 250 MW (Unit#3) of 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Project on February 1, 2026.

Karnisar Solar Power Project, Bikaner

During the nine months ended December 31, 2025, the Company has commissioned 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Project, Bikaner. Revenue recognised during the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025 was ₹ 24.15 Crore and ₹ 47.77 Crore respectively.
