Tata Power reported a total income of ₹14,269.08 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025. Expenses totaled ₹13,465.06 crore, resulting in a profit before regulatory deferral balances, exceptional items, tax, and share of profit of associates and joint ventures of ₹804.02 crore.

Regulatory Impact

There was a net positive movement of ₹536.92 crore in regulatory deferral balances. The company’s profit before exceptional items, tax, and share of profit of associates and joint ventures stood at ₹1,340.94 crore.

Profitability Metrics

The company’s share of profit from associates and joint ventures was ₹198.69 crore. Profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹1,539.63 crore. After accounting for tax expenses of ₹345.30 crore, the net profit for the period was ₹1,194.33 crore.

Segment Highlights

The Thermal & Hydro segment revenue and net movement in regulatory deferral balances amounted to ₹2,022.04 crore. Renewables contributed ₹3,785.43 crore, and Transmission and Distribution reported ₹9,626.24 crore. The segment results were ₹224.30 crore, ₹1,160.74 crore, and ₹1,297.53 crore, respectively.

Unfavorable Arbitration Award

Tata Power received an unfavorable arbitration award in July 2025. An application has been filed with the appropriate forum in Singapore for setting aside the award, but no adjustments have been made in the consolidated financial results pending the final outcome of the litigation.

Equity Stake Acquisition

Subsequent to the quarter, Tata Power acquired 100% equity stake in Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission Limited for transmission services.
