Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Appoints Kiran Dhingra as Independent Director

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) has announced the appointment of Ms. Kiran Dhingra as an Independent Director, effective February 4, 2026, for a 5-year term, subject to shareholder approval. Ms. Dhingra brings 38 years of civil service experience, including roles as Secretary to the Government of India and Chief Secretary to the Government of Goa, enhancing IMFA’s board with extensive governance and policy-making expertise.

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kiran Dhingra as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) on the Board. This appointment is effective from February 4, 2026, and will be for a period of 5 years. The appointment remains subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Kiran Dhingra’s Background

Ms. Kiran Dhingra brings a wealth of experience to IMFA, with an outstanding record of 38 years in civil service. Her career includes holding the position of Secretary to the Government of India, and she has also served as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Goa. She has worked in various Union Territories, including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, and Delhi, addressing diverse challenges. Ms. Dhingra’s expertise spans developmental, social, infrastructural, industrial, environmental, taxation, and regulatory fields, as well as the corporate sector. She possesses extensive experience in governance, planning, policy making, and monitoring.

Post-Retirement Activities

After her retirement, Ms. Dhingra served as probono Chairperson of the National Institute of Fashion Technology for three years and worked pro bono on the Board of the Goa Institute of Management for six years. She has also been associated with the private sector as an Independent Director on several company boards, a role she has held since 2013.

Director Status Confirmation

IMFA confirms that Ms. Kiran Dhingra is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any Securities Exchange Board of India order or any other authority.
