Project Details
The acquired project SPV (SRERPTL) is responsible for establishing “Inter-Regional Strengthening between SR Grid and ER Grid” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The project includes 765 kV D/c Transmission Lines traversing the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, along with associated line bays and reactor works at both ends.
Financial Details
The cost of acquisition for SRERPTL is approximately ₹19.63 Crore, inclusive of 10,000 equity shares at par (₹10 each) along with assets and liabilities as of the acquisition date (February 3, 2026). This price is subject to adjustments based on the audited accounts of SRERPTL. POWERGRID now holds 100% of the shareholding/control of SRERPTL.
SRERPTL’s Business
SRERPTL will be engaged in the business of power transmission. The company was initially incorporated on August 22, 2025, by the Bid Process Coordinator. SRERPTL is currently in the pre-operational phase and has not yet recorded any turnover. The company’s operations will be based in India.
