Shipping Corporation of India Signs MoU for Container Logistics

The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) to collaborate on container logistics. The goal is to acquire, own, lease, and operate container vessels and related assets for EXIM and Coastal trade. This partnership seeks to provide end-to-end logistics solutions by integrating expertise in port, land, and sea-based transportation.

Strategic Partnership for Container Operations

The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), aligning with the Government of India’s initiative through the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) and the Ministry of Railways.

Focus on EXIM and Coastal Trade

The collaboration aims to acquire, own, lease, and operate container vessels, containers, and related assets, focusing on EXIM and Coastal trade. This will be done on mutually agreed terms.

Integrated Logistics Solutions

The ultimate objective of this partnership is to provide comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions to customers. This will be achieved by integrating expertise and experience of stakeholders in port-based services, land, and sea-based transportation.
