Reliance Power Board Approves Unaudited Financial Results for Q3 2026

Reliance Power’s board has approved the unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. Shri Sudhakar Tandon and Shri Abhimanyu Das have been appointed as Senior Management Personnel of the Company. The company has been facing challenges, including continuous losses at its subsidiary, Rajasthan Sun Technique Energy Private Limited (RSTEPL).

Financial Performance

For the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, Reliance Power reported revenue from operations of ₹1,872.84 million. Other income stood at ₹76.94 million, bringing the total income to ₹1,949.78 million. The company reported a profit after tax of ₹25.11 million for the quarter.

Senior Management Appointments

Shri Sudhakar Tandon has been appointed as Business Head. Shri Abhimanyu Das has been appointed as Regulatory/Legal Head, effective January 30, 2026.

Rajasthan Sun Technique Energy Private Limited (RSTEPL)

RSTEPL has been incurring continuous losses due to technology implementation failures. As of December 31, 2025, the carrying value of Property Plant and Equipment and Other Intangible Assets is ₹42,398 lakhs. RSTEPL has also defaulted on loan repayments. Ld. Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) granted compensation to RSTEPL towards reduction in solar radiation and steep Foreign Exchange Rate Variation.

Legal and Regulatory Matters

SEBI initiated a forensic audit of the Parent Company in relation to the alleged violations of the SEBI Act, 1992, SCRA, 1956 and Companies Act, 2013.

Employee Stock Options

The Nomination and Remuneration Committee granted 99,92,103 Employee Stock Options (ESOPs) under the Reliance Power – Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2024 to eligible employees.

Discontinuing Operations

Discontinuing operations represent Chitrangi Power Project, MEGL Shahapur Power Project, Wind Project and Dadri Project.
