RattanIndia Power Limited Q3 FY26 Earnings Update

RattanIndia Power Limited announced its Q3 FY26 earnings, showing improved operational performance and key financial achievements. The company reported an EBITDA of Rs.226 Cr and a total income increase to Rs.836 Cr. The Amravati plant achieved a PLF of 79% and availability of 86%. 14.93 MUs were sold on the power exchange, generating revenue of Rs.11.51 crore.

Financial Performance

RattanIndia Power Limited reported an EBITDA of Rs.226 Cr in Q3 FY26, compared to Rs.141 Cr in Q2 FY26, representing a 60% quarter-on-quarter increase.

The total income increased to Rs.836 Cr in Q3 FY26, up from Rs.753 Cr in Q2 FY26, reflecting an 11% quarter-on-quarter growth.

Operational Highlights

The Amravati Plant continues to be a top performer in Maharashtra, achieving a PLF of 79% and an availability of 86% till Q3 FY26.

In Q3 FY26, the Amravati plant achieved a PLF of 79.44% with a PAF of 85.67%. It also received and unloaded 1,061 coal rakes.

Power Sales

During FY26, the company sold 14.93 MUs on the power exchange until Q3FY26, generating revenue of Rs.11.51 crore, in addition to revenue earned through the PPA.

Generation Trends in India

India’s generation capacity has grown, with a CAGR of over 5% for the last 13 years. Up to FY26, total generation reached 1,378 billion units, with 232 BUs from renewable energy sources (approximately 17%). As of now, the installed capacity of RES is 207 GW, about 40% of the total installed capacity of 514 GW.

Regulatory Updates

The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) issued a judgment on May 8, 2025, concerning the utilization of ash and transportation charges. Consequently, the Company filed a petition with MERC seeking directions for MSEDCL to release payments. MSEDCL has also filed a Civil Appeal in the Supreme Court, and the matter is currently under adjudication.
