ACME Solar has secured a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for its 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche VI Project. The project requires a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and aims to meet 90% of peak power needs for 4 hours daily.

Securing Renewable Energy Commitment

ACME Solar, via its subsidiary ACME Urja One Private Limited, has formalized a significant 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited. This agreement, dated January 29, 2026, is for a 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche VI Project, marking a major step in ACME’s renewable energy portfolio.

Project Details and Investment

The 250 MW FDRE project will be connected to ISTS substations, with necessary connectivity approvals already secured. The project is planned with a substantial capital expenditure of approximately Rs 3,700 crore. ACME Solar reports that it has already acquired nearly 40% of the land required and anticipates a Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) exceeding 60% for this project.

Expanding Renewable Portfolio

With this PPA, ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed portfolio now reaches 5,630 MW. The company also maintains a firm pipeline of 2140 MW of projects, where Letters of Award (LOAs) are either awarded or pending.
