Infosys AI Enhancements at Australian Open 2026

Infosys and Tennis Australia are enhancing the Australian Open 2026 with AI-first experiences. Innovations include MatchFeel, a tactile experience for visually impaired audiences, and Rally, an interactive AI mascot. These updates build on an eight-year partnership, aiming to redefine fan engagement and accessibility. The collaboration seeks to broaden access to tennis and showcase responsible AI innovation.

AO 2026: New AI Innovations

Infosys, in collaboration with Tennis Australia, has unveiled new AI-driven experiences for the Australian Open 2026. The goal is to improve fan engagement and accessibility via innovations powered by the Infosys Topaz™™ AI suite.

MatchFeel: Experiencing Tennis Through Touch

MatchFeel is a tactile experience designed to allow blind and visually impaired fans to follow live tennis through touch. Using real-time data, it converts on-court action into tactile feedback on a physical court surface. This includes a magnetic ring that traces the ball’s movement and vibration patterns indicating speed and direction. It will run as a pilot innovation.

Rally: The Interactive AI Mascot

Rally is a humanoid robot powered by generative AI, designed for safe interactions at the Infosys Fan Zone. Rally engages fans via features like Serve Me a Fortune and Ask Rally for match insights, all operating under strict AI guardrails.

Keys to the Match

Keys to the Match is an AI-powered feature providing three simple insights per player before each match. This makes it easier for fans to follow key tactics and storylines, using data like rankings and head-to-head stats.

Existing Technology Enhancements

Additional updates to existing technology include:

  • Gen AI Stadium: An immersive experience allowing fans to design custom virtual tennis courts using speech-to-image generative AI.
  • Infosys Match Centre: Offering AI-powered experiences, including AI Commentary.
  • AI Shot of the Day: Generates highlight videos and provides video analytics for players and coaches.
