Rainbow Children’s Medicare New 90-Bed Hospital Opens in Bengaluru

Rainbow Children’s Medicare has launched a new 90-bed spoke hospital in Electronic City, Bengaluru. This expands the company’s total bed capacity to approximately 2,375. The hospital will offer comprehensive pediatric and perinatal services, strengthening the company’s presence in a key market and building on its existing hub-and-spoke model. The Electronic City facility will operate in alignment with the hub hospital in Marathahalli.

Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited (RCML) has announced the opening of a new 90-bed hospital in Electronic City, Bengaluru, marking its fifth hospital in the city. The launch was announced on January 28, 2026. This expansion aims to enhance access to specialized pediatric and perinatal care for families in the region.

Strategic Location and Services

The Electronic City hospital is strategically located to serve Electronic City, Hosur, and surrounding residential areas. The facility will operate as a spoke hospital, aligned with RCML’s existing hub hospital in Marathahalli, further strengthening the company’s hub-and-spoke model in Bengaluru.

Capacity and Investment

With the addition of the 90-bed Electronic City hospital, the company’s total bed capacity increases to approximately 2,375. The project cost is approximately ₹55 Crore, funded through internal accruals.

Service Offerings

The new hospital will offer a comprehensive range of pediatric and perinatal services. These include consultant-led pediatric care, neonatal and pediatric intensive care services, pediatric emergencies, and specialty pediatric clinics. Birthright by Rainbow will offer comprehensive care in obstetrics and gynecology, fetal medicine, and IVF.

Electronic City and the Hosur belt represent a fast-growing corridor with a young population and increasing healthcare needs. This expansion marks an important step in deepening the company’s presence in Bengaluru, one of its key focus markets. The Electronic City facility reflects the company’s commitment to building trusted institutions that deliver consistent clinical outcomes, while bringing specialized pediatric and perinatal care closer to families.
