Hindustan Zinc Sandeep Vasant Kadam Appointed as Government Nominee Director

Hindustan Zinc announces the appointment of Sandeep Vasant Kadam as a Government Nominee Director, effective January 19, 2026. This follows an order from the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. Kadam, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, replaces Dinesh Mahur. The appointment has been approved by the Board of Directors. Mahur’s cessation from the board also took effect on January 19, 2026.

Leadership Change on the Board

Sandeep Vasant Kadam has been appointed as a Government Nominee Director to the Board of Hindustan Zinc, with effect from January 19, 2026. This decision follows the receipt of an official order from the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.

New Director Profile

Mr. Kadam is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Design of Mechanical Equipment from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He has served in various capacities within the Government of Himachal Pradesh prior to his central deputation.

Cessation of Outgoing Director

The Board also acknowledges the cessation of Dinesh Mahur from the Board of Directors, effective January 19, 2026. The Board extended its appreciation for the contributions made by Mr. Mahur during his tenure.
