Penalty Imposed

V-Mart Retail has received a statutory order from the Municipal Council of Banka concerning the installation of unauthorized promotional banners. The notice, received on January 20, 2026, imposes a penalty for the unauthorized placement of flex banners on electric poles within the city.

Details of Non-Compliance

The authority identified the installation of 200 flex banners on electric poles in the Banka city area without obtaining necessary permissions. As a result, a total penalty of ₹10,00,000 has been levied against the company.

Company’s Response

V-Mart Retail intends to contest the order and plans to appeal against the penalty imposed by the Municipal Council.
