Indus Towers has announced the incorporation of a new step-down subsidiary in Uganda, named Indus Infra Uganda Limited. This entity was established through Indus Towers Ventures FZE, a wholly-owned subsidiary. The incorporation, confirmed on January 20, 2026, marks a strategic expansion into the African telecommunications market. The new subsidiary aims to support the growth of telecom infrastructure in Uganda.

Expansion into Uganda

Indus Towers has expanded its global footprint with the incorporation of Indus Infra Uganda Limited, a step-down subsidiary in Uganda. The announcement was made on January 20, 2026.

Subsidiary Details

Indus Towers Ventures FZE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indus Towers, facilitated the establishment of the new entity. The share capital of Indus Infra Uganda Limited is UGX 2,000,000,000 (Two Billion Uganda Shillings).

Strategic Rationale

The new subsidiary will focus on establishing, operating, and maintaining telecommunication towers and related infrastructure in Uganda. This move aligns with Indus Towers’ broader strategy to expand its presence in developing markets and support the growth of telecommunications networks. Operations are yet to commence as of January 20, 2026.

Ownership Structure

Indus Towers, through its subsidiary, maintains 100% ownership of Indus Infra Uganda Limited. This ensures complete control over the operations and strategic direction of the new entity.
