Details of the Alleged Violation
The penalty stems from a Customer Application Form (CAF) audit conducted by the DoT for the month of November 2025. The DoT’s assessment alleges certain violations related to the verification processes for subscribers, as outlined in the License Agreement.
Company’s Response
After reviewing the notice, Bharti Airtel has decided not to contest the penalty. The company will be paying the stipulated amount to resolve the matter. The maximum financial implication is limited to the penalty amount of ₹2,06,000.
