Bharti Airtel Expands 5G Coverage in MP & Chhattisgarh with 2,400+ New Sites

Bharti Airtel has deployed over 2,400 new 5G sites across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the last 12 months. This expansion aims to provide faster speeds, wider coverage, and improved network experiences to 36 million customers in 87 districts. The company is installing approximately six new sites daily to enhance connectivity.

Enhanced 5G Deployment

Bharti Airtel has expanded its 5G coverage across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, deploying over 2,400 new 5G sites within the last 12 months. This infrastructure enhancement is designed to offer customers improved speeds, broader coverage, and a better network experience.

Coverage and Reach

The expansion covers 87 districts and aims to provide reliable, high-speed coverage to approximately 36 million customers. This includes those in cities, fast-growing towns, and remote rural areas. On average, six new sites are being activated each day.

Key Beneficiary Districts

Key districts benefiting from this expanded coverage include Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Sagar, Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Dewas, Korba, and Rajnandgaon. This extended coverage supports high-speed 5G services for citizens, students, micro-businesses, and government institutions.

According to Ritesh Agrawal, CEO – Bharti Airtel for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, these regions are strategic markets for Airtel. The expansion underscores the company’s commitment to connecting the country and building a robust digital infrastructure. This infrastructure aims to enable reliable connectivity for everyday activities, supporting India’s move towards a digital-first future.

Investment and Future Plans

Airtel has made substantial investments to strengthen network density in previously underserved rural areas. This includes increased site deployment across villages, highways, border regions, and economic corridors, facilitating rapid digital adoption.
