JK Cement has commissioned the expansion of its cement grinding capacity, adding 1.00 MnTPA each at its plants in Panna and Hamirpur. This increases the total capacity at each location to 3.00 MnTPA. This expansion is part of the company’s overall plan to expand by 6 MnTPA. The announcement was made on January 16, 2026.
Capacity Expansion at Panna and Hamirpur
JK Cement announced on January 16, 2026, that it has commissioned additional cement grinding capacity at its existing plants in Panna and Hamirpur. Each plant’s capacity has been increased by 1.00 MnTPA.
Revised Plant Capacities
Following the expansion, the cement grinding capacity at both the JK Cement Works in Panna and the JK Cement Works in Hamirpur now stands at 3.00 MnTPA. Previously, the capacity at both locations was 2.00 MnTPA.
Overall Expansion Plan
The commissioning is part of a larger expansion plan to increase overall capacity by 6 MnTPA. This plan was approved by the Board of Directors on January 20, 2024, and includes the following:
Brownfield and Greenfield Projects
The overall expansion plan includes a Brownfield Expansion in clinker capacity by 3.3 MnTPA (Design – 10,000 TPD, Potential – 12,000 TPD) and cement grinding capacity by 3 MnTPA across Panna, Hamirpur and Prayagraj (1 MnTPA each) and a Greenfield Cement grinding capacity of 3 MnTPA in Bihar.
Total Production Capacity
With this expansion, the Company’s overall grey cement production capacity stands at 28.26 MnTPA (including capacity of its subsidiary company).
