NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commencement of commercial operation for the first part capacity of 300 MW out of its 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan, effective January 13, 2026. Following this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group will increase to 8310.28 MW, from a previous capacity of 8010.28 MW.
Solar Project Commences Operations
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced that its 300 MW solar project, located in Phalodi, Rajasthan, has commenced commercial operations. This project is part of a larger 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project.
Capacity Expansion
With the commencement of this 300 MW capacity, the total installed capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 8310.28 MW. The previous commercial capacity stood at 8010.28 MW.
Effective Date
The commercial operation of the 300 MW solar PV project is effective from January 13, 2026. The initial certificate of commissioning was issued on January 14, 2026.
