Financial Performance Highlights
Union Bank of India reported a net profit of ₹5,017 crore for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3FY26). The bank’s interest income for the same period stood at ₹26,443 crore.
Business Growth
The bank’s total business grew by 5.04% year-over-year. Gross advances increased by 7.13% year-over-year, and total deposits grew by 3.36%. As of December 31, 2025, the bank’s total business reached ₹22,39,740 crore.
Deposit Growth
Global deposits increased by 3.36% year-over-year. The total deposit base as of December 31, 2025, is ₹12,22,856 crore.
Growth in RAM Sectors
The bank’s RAM (Retail, Agriculture, and MSME) segment grew by 11.50% year-over-year. Retail advances grew by 21.67%, and MSME advances grew by 19.75%. RAM advances accounted for 58.84% of domestic advances.
Asset Quality Improvement
Gross NPA (Non-Performing Assets) decreased by 79 bps year-over-year to 3.06%, and Net NPA decreased by 31 bps to 0.51% as of December 31, 2025.
Capital Adequacy
The bank’s CRAR (Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets Ratio) stood at 16.49% as of December 31, 2025. The CET-1 ratio improved from 13.59% on December 31, 2024, to 13.94% as of December 31, 2025.
Return on Assets and Equity
The bank’s Return on Assets and Return on Equity for Q3FY26 stood at 1.35% and 17.09%, respectively.
Financial Inclusion Initiatives
The bank has been actively participating in government-backed financial inclusion schemes. 3.53 lakh new enrollments were made under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and 10.34 lakh new enrollments were made under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), the bank has opened 3.37 crore accounts with a balance of ₹14,498 crore as of December 31, 2025. Additionally, 2.85 lakh new enrollments were made under the Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
