Vodafone Idea Receives Relief Communication on AGR Dues

Vodafone Idea has received communication regarding relief on its AGR (Adjusted Gross Revenue) dues. The company will pay a maximum of Rs. 124 crore annually over the next 6 years (March 2026 to March 2031), followed by Rs. 100 crore annually over 4 years (March 2032 to March 2035). The remaining dues will be paid in equal annual installments over 6 years, from March 2036 to March 2041. A committee will reassess the dues.

AGR Dues Relief

Vodafone Idea has received a communication from the Department of Telecommunications regarding relief related to the Company’s AGR (Adjusted Gross Revenue) matter.

Payment Schedule

The AGR dues (Principal + Interest + Penalty and Interest on Penalty) for the period from FY 2006-07 to FY 2018-19, as of 31.12.2025, are now frozen and payable according to the following schedule:

  • Rs. 124 crore annually over the next 6 years (March’ 2026 to March’ 2031)
  • Rs. 100 crore annually over 4 years (March’ 2032 to March’ 2035)
  • The remaining AGR dues will be paid in equal annual installments over 6 years, from March’ 2036 to March’ 2041

Dues Reassessment

A committee will be formed by the DoT to reassess the AGR dues. The reassessed amount is to be repaid between March’ 2036 to March’ 2041 in equal annual installments. The decision of this committee will be final.
