ICRA Limited has reaffirmed the [ICRA] A1+ rating assigned to Avenue Supermarts’ Commercial Paper, according to an official announcement on January 5, 2026. This rating indicates a high degree of safety regarding timely payment of financial obligations.
Commercial Paper Limit Enhanced
In addition to reaffirming the rating, ICRA has also enhanced the limit for Avenue Supermarts’ Commercial Paper program. The limit has been increased from ₹300 crore to ₹500 crore. This enhanced limit allows the company greater flexibility in managing its short-term funding requirements.
Rating Validity
It is important to note that if the Commercial Paper is not issued within 3 months from January 5, 2026, the rating will need to be revalidated before issuance. Once issued, the rating is valid for the life of the programme, with a maximum maturity of twelve months from the issuance date.
