Mr. Alfred Nixon Mendez assumes the role of Head of Product Development, effective January 2, 2026. Both will report to the MD & CEO. Key Leadership Appointments
Dr. N. Saravanan, previously President & CTO, will transition to focus on formulating and driving the company’s strategic product and technology roadmap, and related partnerships.
Mr. Alfred Nixon Mendez, formerly Chief Engineer-Global Trucks & Buses, has been appointed as the new Head of Product Development, effective January 2, 2026. He will now be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development.
Reporting Structure
Both Dr. N. Saravanan and Mr. Alfred Nixon Mendez will report directly to the MD & CEO.
Alfred Nixon Mendez: A Veteran’s Experience
Mr. Alfred Nixon Mendez brings over 32 years of experience with Ashok Leyland to his new role. Starting as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET), he has played a key role in truck and bus product development, contributing to competitive and innovative offerings including digital transformation initiatives.
