Indian Overseas Bank Senior Management Change – Shri S. Alagarsamy Appointed

Alagarsamy has assumed charge as the General Manager in charge of Accounts and EDMD Departments of the Bank. He brings over 34 years of banking experience to the role. Shri S. Alagarsamy has been appointed as the General Manager in charge of Accounts and EDMD Departments at Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). The change is effective from December 31, 2025. This announcement signifies a key shift in the bank’s senior leadership team.

Shri S. Alagarsamy’s Profile

Shri S. Alagarsamy has been with Indian Overseas Bank since September 1991, accumulating more than 34 years of experience in the banking sector. His qualifications include a M.Sc., CAIIB, and a Certificate on Risk in Financial Services. He has also completed a Certificate Programme in IT & Cyber Security for CXOs. Shri Alagarsamy is a Certified Accounting and Audit Professional, a Certified Treasury Professional, and a Certified Credit Professional.

Leadership Continuity

Shri. Arabindra Mohan Banerjee, Chief General Manager, will continue in his role with his existing responsibilities in Inspection, Audit and Public Relations. Shri. B Sathia Narayanan, General Manager, also continues with his current portfolios of ITD, DCOE, MISD & MSD. This ensures stability and continued focus on key areas within the bank.
