Year in Review: Key Achievements
2025 was a pivotal year for IndiGo, defined by international expansion, including the launch of long-haul flights to Manchester and Amsterdam. Over the year, IndiGo introduced 10 new international destinations and 30 new international routes. IndiGo expects to close the calendar year 2025 with over 123mn customers, up from 113 million in 2024.
Entering the Long-Haul Market
IndiGo partnered with Norse Atlantic Airways to introduce wide-body Boeing 787-9 aircraft, enabling long-haul operations. Select international flights now include complimentary hot meals, enhancing the passenger experience.
Domestic and International Network Growth
IndiGo expanded its international footprint by adding destinations such as Seychelles, Krabi, Madinah, Fujairah, and Siem Reap. The airline also resumed flights to Guangzhou from Kolkata and launched flights from Delhi. Services to Athens are set to launch on January 23, 2026, marking the debut of India’s first Airbus A321XLR.
Commitment to Domestic Connectivity
IndiGo began operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport and added new airports in Purnea and Rewa, enhancing regional connectivity. The airline now connects a total of 139 destinations, including 97 domestic and 42 international locations.
Fleet Expansion and Customer Engagement
IndiGo doubled its order for Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft to 60. The airline also marked the anniversary of IndiGoStretch, its dual-class cabin product, now available on 42 aircraft. BluChip, the loyalty program, has grown to over 9 million members.
Strategic Partnerships
IndiGo has expanded its codeshare partnerships with international carriers to enhance global connectivity across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Operational Excellence
IndiGo expects to transport more than 55,000 tonnes of cargo in calendar year 2025. The airline operates over 2,200 flights per day and maintains industry-leading OTP.
