NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has commissioned an additional 13.98 MW capacity of its 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective December 30, 2025. This commissioning increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group to 85,637 MW and the total installed capacity of NGEL Group to 8,010.28 MW. The project falls under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
Khavda-I Solar PV Project Update
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the ninth part capacity of 13.98 MW of its 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project. This project is located in Gujarat and falls under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
Impact on NTPC Group Capacity
With this recent commissioning, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has risen to 85,637 MW as of December 30, 2025. Additionally, the commissioning has increased the total installed capacity of NGEL Group to 8,010.28 MW.
