Waaree Energies CEO Amit Paithankar Resigns, Jignesh Rathod Appointed Successor

Waaree Energies has announced the resignation of CEO Amit Paithankar, effective May 15, 2026, as he pursues opportunities outside the company. Jignesh Rathod, currently Director – Operations, has been appointed as CEO Designate with immediate effect and will formally assume the role of CEO on May 16, 2026, ensuring a smooth leadership transition.

Leadership Transition at Waaree Energies

Amit Paithankar, the Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer of Waaree Energies, has tendered his resignation to pursue opportunities outside the organization. The resignation is effective from May 15, 2026, or an earlier mutually agreed upon date.

Appointment of New CEO

Jignesh Rathod (presently designated as Director – Operations), will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer Designate (“CEO-Designate”) of the Company, effective immediately. He will work with the outgoing CEO during the transition. On May 16, 2026, or an earlier notified date, Jignesh Rathod will be formally appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel.

About Jignesh Rathod

Jignesh Rathod holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Gujarat University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration for Working Executives from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from XIBMS. He has been with Waaree Energies since November 28, 2007, bringing over 18 years of manufacturing experience.
