Waaree Energies Leadership Transition with CEO Resignation and Appointment

Waaree Energies has announced a leadership transition. Amit Paithankar, Whole Time Director & CEO, has resigned to pursue outside opportunities, effective May 15, 2026. Jignesh Rathod, currently Director – Operations, will become CEO-Designate immediately and will assume the role of CEO on May 16, 2026, or earlier, following Paithankar’s departure. This succession ensures continuity and strategic momentum.

CEO Resignation

Amit Paithankar, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer of Waaree Energies, has resigned from his position to explore opportunities outside the company. The resignation is effective from May 15, 2026, or an earlier mutually agreed date. The company has acknowledged Mr. Paithankar’s contributions to strengthening operational capabilities and building a strong foundation for growth.

CEO Appointment

Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Mr. Jignesh Rathod, currently designated as Director – Operations, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer Designate, effective immediately. Mr. Rathod will transition into the role of Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel on May 16, 2026, or an earlier date, subsequent to Mr. Paithankar’s departure.

Mr. Jignesh Rathod has been with Waaree Energies since November 28, 2007, bringing over 18 years of experience in manufacturing operations, capacity expansion, and technology integration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Gujarat University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from XIBMS.
