ONGC clarifies it has no affiliation with this entity and will take action against impersonation, misrepresentation, cheating and fraud.
Public Caution
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has issued a public notice on December 18, 2025, cautioning the general public, government authorities, vendors, contractors, banks, financial institutions, and all other stakeholders against an unauthorized entity operating under the name “ONGC INDIA”.
Clarification on Affiliation
ONGC clarifies that the said entity has no relationship, affiliation, or association whatsoever with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited or any of its subsidiaries or Group companies. The use of the name “ONGC INDIA” and related representations is unauthorized and appears to be with malafide intent to mislead stakeholders and cause wrongful gain.
Advice to Stakeholders
All stakeholders are advised to immediately desist from dealing with the said entity or with any individual or organization claiming association with ONGC under the aforesaid name. Any transactions or dealings undertaken with such entities shall be entirely at the risk, cost, and consequences of the concerned parties. Under no circumstances shall ONGC be held liable for any loss, damage, or consequences arising from such dealings.
Reporting Unauthorized Dealings
ONGC further requests that any person or organization that has come across or engaged in such unauthorized dealings may report the same to ONGC along with relevant documentary evidence, to enable the Corporation to take appropriate action in accordance with law.
Legal Action
ONGC reserves the right to initiate stringent civil and criminal proceedings against the said entity and all other persons involved in acts of impersonation, misrepresentation, cheating, and fraud.
