Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the WagonR with a swivel seat option, promoting inclusive mobility in mass segment cars. This innovative feature is designed to provide greater convenience to senior citizens and persons with disabilities, aligning with Suzuki Group’s corporate slogan ‘By Your Side.’
Swivel Seat Details
The swivel seat can be retrofitted in existing vehicles and installed in new WagonR models. Key features include:
- Easy ingress and egress
- No replacement of the original OEM seat
- Fast installation (approximately 1 hour)
- 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects
Project Rollout
The project will initially be available at over 200 ARENA dealerships across 11 cities. Expansion will depend on customer response. The WagonR’s design provides spacious headroom and legroom, making it an ideal vehicle for this mobility solution.

Safety and Compliance
The WagonR swivel seat kit has undergone safety tests at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and complies with required safety standards. Installation does not modify the car’s structure or core functioning, and the swivel seat comes with a 3-year warranty.
