Incorporation of Welspun Global IFSC Limited
Welspun Corp has announced the incorporation of a new step-down wholly-owned subsidiary, Welspun Global IFSC Limited (WGIFSC), within Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gujarat, India. The incorporation was finalized on December 10, 2025.
Details of the New Subsidiary
WGIFSC has been established with a minimum paid-up share capital of ₹2,00,00,000, divided into 20,00,000 equity shares of ₹10 each. The shares are fully held by Welspun Mauritius Holdings Limited (WMHL) and its nominees. The certificate of incorporation has been received from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Strategic Focus
The newly formed WGIFSC will primarily focus on undertaking global and regional corporate treasury center activities within the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) framework. This strategic move allows Welspun Corp to consolidate and optimize its treasury operations within a specialized economic zone.
