Ambuja Cements has received an order regarding a penalty for a shortfall/non-payment of GST and claiming excess ITC. The order, dated November 25, 2025, was issued by the Assistant Commissioner, Patna.

Details of the Order

The order relates to a short/non-payment of GST amounting to Rs. 2,13,87,562 and excess ITC utilized of Rs. 4,94,500. Additionally, dropped ITC (ISD) is Rs. 9,694. An applicable interest under Section 50 and an imposed penalty of Rs. 22,07,952 are also part of the order.

Company to Appeal

Ambuja Cements will contest the order by filing an appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals). The company is taking appropriate steps to address the demand before the appropriate authority and does not foresee any material impact on the activities of the Company.
