INOX Wind Partners with KP Energy to Develop 2.5 GW Wind Projects

Inox Wind and KP Energy have entered a strategic partnership to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across India. Inox Wind will supply wind turbines, while KP Energy will manage project development, including land acquisition and balance of plant execution. This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both companies to drive India’s clean energy transition.

Strategic Alliance for Renewable Energy

Inox Wind Limited (IWL) and KP Energy Limited (KPE) have announced a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across multiple states in India. This partnership aims to leverage the core competencies of both companies for seamless project execution.

Role of Each Company

Under the MoU, Inox Wind, along with its subsidiaries, will supply Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and associated equipment. They will also provide engineering support, including USS design and transformer specifications. KP Energy will undertake project development activities such as securing connectivity, land acquisition, and executing Balance of Plant (BOP) and EPC works.

Expected Benefits and Synergies

This collaboration is expected to strengthen the strategic positioning of both organizations by leveraging their complementary strengths across the renewable energy value chain. KP Energy will benefit from assured access to Inox Wind’s equipment and engineering capabilities. Inox Wind will benefit from KP Energy’s strong on-ground execution expertise.
