Grasim Industries has announced the commencement of commercial production of Resin Block at its Birla Opus Paints plant in Kharagpur, West Bengal, effective November 12, 2025. The plant has an installed capacity of 24 Million Litres Per Annum (MLPA). With this addition, the total installed capacity of Resin Blocks across all Birla Opus plants has increased to 92 MLPA.
Resin Block Production Commences
Grasim Industries has initiated commercial production of Resin Block at its Birla Opus Paints plant located in Kharagpur, West Bengal, as of November 12, 2025.
Increased Production Capacity
The Kharagpur plant has an installed capacity of 24 Million Litres Per Annum (MLPA). Following this commencement, the total installed capacity of Resin Blocks across all Birla Opus plants has risen to 92 MLPA.
Emulsion Blocks Capacity
The installed capacity of Emulsion Blocks across all Birla Opus plants currently stands at 376 MLPA.
Market Impact
This production will cater to the domestic market of the country.
