Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a new project from South Central Railway involving the electrification of a key railway section. The formal Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for this project was received on November 10, 2025.
Project Details and Scope
The project entails the upgrade of the existing 1x25kV system to a 2x25kV system in the Ramgundam (RDM) – Kazipet (KZJ) section of Secunderabad Division. The total value of the project is ₹144,44,51,878.04. The scope encompasses design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning, including feeder and earthing works. The total section covers 92 RKM or 276 TKM.
Project Timeline
The project is domestic and is expected to be completed within 18 months. This project falls in the normal course of business for RVNL.
