Q2 2026 Financial Highlights

Britannia Industries announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, showcasing positive growth in both revenue and profitability:

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹4,752 Crore, a 4.1% increase compared to the previous year.
  • Profit After Tax: 13.8% of Revenue, reflecting a substantial 23.1% growth.

Over the past 24 months, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, with revenue increasing by 8.7% and profit after tax growing by 11.4%.

Impact of GST Rate Rationalization

The company noted that approximately 85% of its business was affected by changes in GST rates implemented in September 2025. This resulted in short-term headwinds due to de-stocking by distributors and delayed buying by consumers. However, Britannia expects the impact to normalize progressively during the current quarter.

Strategic Priorities and Outlook

Britannia remains focused on several strategic priorities to drive future growth and profitability:

  • Volume-led Growth: Expanding through region and consumer-centric products.
  • Brand Investment: Strengthening core brands through product restaging and media campaigns.
  • Margin Sustainability: Utilizing cost-saving initiatives, contingent on stable commodity prices.

ESG Initiatives

Britannia is committed to sustainability and has made progress in several key areas:

  • Renewable Electricity: Increased share by 13%.
  • Water Consumption: Reduced specific water consumption by 3.4%.
  • Women Workforce: Increased representation in factories by 1%.
  • BNF Beneficiaries: Increased beneficiaries by 22%.

The company has received recognition for its sustainability efforts, including the Golden Peacock Award. Britannia’s S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score improved from 52 in 2024 to 60 in 2025, a 15.4% improvement.
