Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company (CIFCL) announced its audited financial results for Q2 and H1 FY26, showcasing robust performance:

  • Total AUM: Increased by 21% YoY, reaching ₹2,14,906 Cr.
  • Net Income (Q2): Grew by 26% YoY to ₹4,075 Cr.
  • PAT (Q2): Increased by 20% YoY to ₹1,155 Cr.

Segmental Performance

CIFCL reported solid performance across its key business segments:

  • Vehicle Finance (VF): Disbursements of ₹13,539 Cr in Q2 FY26 and ₹27,186 Cr in H1 FY26. AUM reached ₹1,07,568 Cr, up 17% YoY.
  • Loan Against Property (LAP): Disbursements totaled ₹4,630 Cr in Q2 FY26 and ₹9,336 Cr in H1 FY26. The AUM stood at ₹46,302 Cr, representing a 33% YoY growth.
  • Home Loan: The segment disbursed ₹1,697 Cr in Q2 FY26 and ₹3,461 Cr in H1 FY26, with AUM at ₹20,405 Cr, marking a substantial 28% increase YoY.
  • Small and Medium Enterprises Loan (SME): Disbursements were ₹1,581 Cr in Q2 FY26, and ₹3,286 Cr in H1 FY26. The AUM reached ₹7,544 Cr, up by 28% YoY.
  • Consumer and Small Enterprise Loans (CSEL): The company disbursed ₹2,142 Cr in Q2 FY26 and ₹4,188 Cr in H1 FY26 with AUM of ₹13,952 Cr.
  • Secured Business and Personal Loan (SBPL): Disbursements totaled ₹385 Cr in Q2 FY26 and ₹744 Cr in H1 FY26, with AUM of ₹2,932 Cr, displaying significant 57% growth YoY.

Asset Quality and Capital Adequacy

  • Stage 3 Loans: The company reported Stage 3 loans at 3.35%.
  • Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR): The CAR was strong at 20.00%. Tier-I Capital stood at 14.59%, and Tier-II Capital was at 5.41%, well above regulatory requirements.

Strong Liquidity Position

CIFCL maintains a strong liquidity position, reflected in its cash balance of ₹16,991 Cr as of September 2025. This robust liquidity includes holdings of high-quality liquid assets and undrawn sanctioned lines, ensuring the company’s capacity to meet its financial obligations.
