Grasim Industries Q2FY26 Revenue Jumps 17% to ₹39,900 Cr, EBITDA Up 29%

Grasim Industries reported a strong Q2FY26 performance with revenue up 17% YoY to ₹39,900 Cr and EBITDA rising 29% YoY to ₹5,217 Cr. Key businesses like Cement and Chemicals drove profitability. The company continues strategic investments in high-growth areas like paints, with Birla Opus gaining market share. Total capex spent on the paints business reached ₹9,727 Cr as of September 30, 2025.

Financial Highlights for Q2FY26

Grasim Industries reported robust financial results for Q2FY26, demonstrating strong growth across key business segments:

  • Consolidated Revenue:₹39,900 Cr, up 17% YoY
  • EBITDA:₹5,217 Cr, a significant increase of 29% YoY

Segmental Performance

Cellulosic Fibres

Domestic sales volumes saw a decrease of 7% YoY due to temporary logistics issues. However, specialty fibres volume mix improved, reaching 24%. Lower EBITDA by 29% YoY can be attributed to higher key input prices.

Chemicals

The Chemicals segment delivered strong performance with revenue up 17% YoY, driven by overall performance across Caustic, Chlorine Derivatives, and Specialty Chemicals. EBITDA increased by 34% YoY due to higher ECU realization and volume growth in Chlorine Derivatives.

Cement (UltraTech)

Total grey cement capacity reached 192.3 Mn TPA. Expansion plans were announced, targeting 240.8 mtpa by March 2028. Revenue increased by 20% YoY, and consolidated sales volume rose by 6.9% YoY to 33.85 mtpa.

Paints (Birla Opus)

Birla Opus is now the 2nd largest decorative paints industry player, holding approximately 24% capacity share with the commissioning of its 6th plant in Kharagpur. The brand is focused on gaining market share and expanding its distribution network.

B2B E-commerce

The B2B e-commerce segment experienced revenue growth of 15% QoQ and is on track to achieve ₹8,500 Cr revenue target by FY27.

Financial Services

The total lending portfolio (NBFC and HFC) is up by 29% YoY, reaching ₹1,77,855 Cr. Total AUM (AMC, life and health insurance) increased by 10% YoY to ₹5,50,240 Cr.

Total capex spent by the company in H1FY26:
