Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) has announced the appointment of Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, as the new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), effective November 1, 2025. This decision was formalized through a board resolution on November 3, 2025. Manoj Kumar Das also serves as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat.

Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) has appointed Shri Manoj Kumar Das, IAS (DIN – 06530792), as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). The appointment is effective from November 1, 2025.
Appointment Details
The Board of Directors approved the appointment via a circular resolution dated November 3, 2025. Shri Manoj Kumar Das previously held the position of Director at GSPL. He is not debarred from holding the office of Director.
Shri Manoj Kumar Das’s Background
Shri Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, is currently the Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat. He holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from IIT-Kharagpur and has specialization in Revenue Administration, Urban Management & Civic Issues, Law & Order, and Disaster Management.
Extensive Experience
Shri Das has held various key positions, including District Development Officer in Junagadh, District Collector in Porbandar, Palanpur & Surat, and Deputy Municipal Commissioner in Ahmedabad. He has also served in the Home Ministry, Government of India, and as Principal Secretary in various departments, including Industries and Mines, and Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs. He has also served as Joint Managing Director, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC). He is currently a Director on the Board of GSPC LNG Limited and Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation Limited.
