Financial Performance

In Q2 FY26, Bharti Airtel reported a consolidated revenue of ₹521.45 billion, a 16.1% increase compared to the same quarter last year. EBITDA stood at ₹299.19 billion, up by 17.3% YoY, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 57.4%. EBIT increased to ₹166.69 billion, representing a 22.8% YoY growth. Net income reached ₹67.916 billion for the quarter.

Operational Highlights

Bharti Airtel’s total customer base reached approximately 624 million across 15 countries. Mobile data traffic grew by 27.7% YoY. India’s revenue increased by 10.6% compared to last year. The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) in India reached ₹256. Customer base in Africa reached 173.816 million, an 11% YoY increase, with data customers increasing by 18.4% YoY.

Strategic Developments

Bharti Airtel has partnered with Perplexity to provide free subscriptions to all its customers. The company’s digital arm, Xtelify, launched a telco-grade sovereign cloud platform and an AI-powered software platform. Bharti Airtel’s anti-fraud initiatives have reduced financial losses for its customers by nearly 70%. Nxtra by Airtel is augmenting green energy resources through partnerships.

India Business Performance

India’s revenues reached ₹386.901 billion, up 10.6% YoY. Mobile revenues increased by 13.2% YoY. Homes business witnessed revenue growth of 30.2% YoY, with a customer base of 11.9 million. Airtel Business revenues decreased slightly due to a focus on quality revenues.

Africa Business Performance

Africa’s revenue grew by 24.2% YoY in constant currency. The customer base in Africa reached 173.8 million, an increase of 11.0% YoY. Data customers increased by 18.4% YoY.

Financial Position

Net debt stood at ₹1,947.131 billion, with a Net Debt-EBITDA ratio of 1.19 times excluding leases. Capital expenditure for the quarter was ₹113.623 billion.
