CG Power and Industrial Solutions Board Approves New Switchgear Plant and Office Relocation

CG Power and Industrial Solutions’ Board has approved the establishment of a new greenfield switchgear plant in Western India with a projected cost of ₹748.20 Crores. Additionally, they approved the shifting of the registered office within Mumbai, effective December 9, 2025. The board also approved the re-classification of certain promoter group entities to public shareholder status.

Greenfield Switchgear Plant Approved

CG Power and Industrial Solutions is set to establish a new greenfield switchgear manufacturing facility in Western India. This initiative aims to bolster the company’s foothold in the domestic and export markets for switchgear products, particularly in the Medium Voltage (MV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) segments.

The project will require an estimated investment of ₹748.20 Crores (net of taxes). The funding will come from a mix of internal accruals, equity, or debt. The facility is planned on approximately 35 acres of land, featuring a built-up area of around 72,000 sq. meters. Completion is anticipated within 33 months.

Registered Office Relocation

The Board has sanctioned the relocation of the company’s registered office. Effective December 9, 2025, the new address will be “Unit 1504-1508, 15th Floor, in the building known as ‘One Unity Center’ Plot no. 612 TPS-IV and Plot No. 613 TPS-IV, Senapati Bapat Marg, Prabhadevi West, Mumbai, Maharashtra, 400013”. The current registered office is “6th Floor, CG House, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai-400030”. This move is connected to a ‘Development Agreement’ dated July 4, 2024.

Promoter Group Re-classification

The Board has approved the re-classification of Yanmar Coromandel Agrisolutions Private Limited and Coromandel Engineering Company Limited from the ‘Promoter and Promoter Group’ category to ‘Public’ category shareholders. This decision follows requests made in September 2025 and is subject to stock exchange approval.
