Jindal Steel Q2FY26 Highlights – Profit After Tax at ₹635 Crore

Jindal Steel Limited (JSL) announced its Q2FY26 results, reporting a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹635 crore. The company achieved a Gross Revenue of ₹13,505 crore and an Adjusted EBITDA of ₹1,875 crore. Key facilities were commissioned at Angul, including a 4.6 MTPA Blast Furnace and a 3 MTPA Basic Oxygen Furnace. Value-add sales reached 73%, the highest ever.

Financial Performance in Q2FY26

Jindal Steel Limited (JSL) has announced its consolidated financial performance for Q2FY26, showcasing robust results:

  • Gross Revenue: ₹13,505 cr
  • Adjusted EBITDA: ₹1,875 cr
  • Profit after Tax: ₹635 cr

The company’s production stood at 2.00 MT, with sales of 1.87 MT. The Net Debt to EBITDA ratio was reported as 1.48x.

Key Operational Highlights

Several key facilities were commissioned during the quarter at Angul:

  • 4.6 MTPA Blast Furnace – 2
  • 3 MTPA Basic oxygen Furnace – 2

The company also achieved record value-add sales, with 73% of total sales coming from value-added products. JSL also reported its first ever CGL (Continuous Galvanizing Line) dispatch and CR (Cold Rolled) product exports.

Industry Outlook

India’s steel demand grew by 9% in 9MCY25, aligning with World Steel Association (WSA) projections for CY25.

Projects Update

The company provided an update on its ongoing expansion projects:

  • Bhagavati Subhadrika BF – 2: Commissioned in Sep’25, with first hot metal tapping achieved in Sep’25.
  • Basic Oxygen Furnace – 2: Commissioned in Sep’25.
  • CRM complex: CGL-1 commissioned, progressive commissioning of multiple lines in FY26.
