The proposed investment is estimated at ₹5,000 Cr for projects including terminals and berths at JN Port, with an expected commencement in 2025-26.
MoU for Port Infrastructure
HUDCO and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 24, 2025, to establish cooperation for infrastructure development at JN Port. The MoU focuses on exploring opportunities for project financing related to port development and associated infrastructure.
Projected Investment
The MoU outlines plans to explore collaboration in infrastructure development, financing, and refinancing of port infrastructure, including five container terminals, a general cargo berth, a liquid berth, and related port-led infrastructure projects at JN Port. The proposed investment is estimated at ₹5,000 Cr and the projects are expected to commence in 2025-26.
Scope of Collaboration
The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both HUDCO and JNPA to develop mutually beneficial opportunities related to project financing for port development and allied infrastructure. This includes terminals and berths development at JN Port. The MoU serves as a non-binding framework for future collaboration, subject to mutual discussions and the execution of definitive agreements.
