PTC Industries Joint Venture with Bharat Dynamics for Aerospace and Defence

PTC Industries has partnered with Bharat Dynamics Limited to form a Joint Venture. This collaboration aims to manufacture advanced propulsion systems and aero-engines for missiles and UAVs. The initiative enhances domestic manufacturing capabilities under the ‘Make in India’ program, reducing reliance on foreign suppliers. The MoU was formalized at PTC’s Lokarpan Ceremony in Lucknow.

Strategic Alliance Formed

October 19, 2025 marks the date that PTC Industries Limited announced a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Dynamics Limited. This partnership is set to establish a Joint Venture Company. The primary focus of this venture is to design, develop, and manufacture complete propulsion systems, guided bombs, and aero-engines for missiles, UAVs, and loitering munitions. This agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.

Focus on Propulsion and Aero-Engines

The Joint Venture aims to create advanced propulsion systems and aero-engines. This includes liquid and solid rocket motors, ramjet, and turbojet engines applicable for UAVs and drones. PTC’s strength in manufacturing components for defence, coupled with critical materials for missiles and subsystems, will be leveraged to create an integrated, India-based design-to-delivery pathway.

“Make in India” Initiative

This collaboration supports the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The goal is to reduce the country’s dependence on foreign suppliers while boosting domestic manufacturing capabilities. By combining Bharat Dynamics Limited’s systems with PTC’s expertise, the partnership aims to create indigenous solutions for missiles, UAVs, and next-generation strategic platforms.
