This addition increases the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group to 84,039 MW. This project falls under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project, reinforcing NTPC’s commitment to renewable energy.
Khavda Solar Project Update
NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commissioning of an additional capacity at its Khavda Solar Energy Project. This development further strengthens NTPC’s renewable energy portfolio.
Commissioning Details
The fourth part capacity, amounting to 37.95 MW, of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project has been successfully commissioned. This project operates under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project in Gujarat. The effective date for commercial operation is October 19, 2025.
Expanded Capacity
With this recent commissioning, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has now reached 84,039 MW. This figure reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to increase its renewable energy footprint.
Previous Commissionings
Prior to this, capacities of 142.2 MW, 32.8 MW, and 49.125 MW were declared on commercial operation on June 28, 2025, June 30, 2025 and August 22, 2025, respectively, bringing the total commissioned capacity of the project to 262.075 MW.
NGEL Group Capacity
The commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group now stands at 7515.725 MW. The addition of this capacity increases the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group to 7553.675 MW.
