ACME Solar Commissions First Phase of 100 MW Wind Power Project in Gujarat

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned the first phase (28 MW) of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The commissioning was confirmed by Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) officials. This increases the company’s total operational capacity to 2,918 MW. The project is located in a high wind resource region and uses SANY’s 4 MW turbines.

Gujarat Wind Project Phase 1 Complete

ACME Solar Holdings Limited announced on October 17, 2025, the successful commissioning of the first phase of its 100 MW wind power project located in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The initial phase accounts for 28 MW of the total capacity. The project utilizes wind power and is expected to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy goals.

Witnessed Commissioning and Capacity Expansion

The commissioning process was officially witnessed and confirmed by representatives from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). With this addition, ACME Solar’s total operational capacity has risen from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW.

Project Details and Technology

The project was financed through Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed using in-house EPC. It features SANY’s 4 MW wind turbines. The energy generated is pooled at a 33/220 kV pooling station and evacuated to the Shapar sub-station via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line. The project will share the sub-station with ACME Solar’s existing 50 MW wind power project.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated will be sold under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
