Brigade Foundation has launched a significant tree planting initiative, aiming to plant over 100,000 trees in Bengaluru’s KIADB area. This initiative, titled “From Saplings to a Sanctuary: Planting 100,000 Trees for a Greener Tomorrow”, was inaugurated by government officials and Brigade Enterprises executives. The goal is to create thriving ecological reserves within the company’s project landscapes. The initiative emphasizes balancing urban development with environmental responsibility.
Massive Tree Plantation Drive
Brigade Foundation has initiated a substantial tree planting project with the goal of planting over 100,000 trees in the KIADB area of Bengaluru. This project aligns with the Brigade Group’s Urban Forest philosophy and reinforces the company’s commitment to ecological sustainability. The initiative was formally announced on October 17, 2025.
Key Participants & Objectives
The tree planting drive aims to transform landscapes into thriving ecological reserves. Brigade Foundation is partnering with Vanantara, an ecologically focused firm, to ensure the saplings are properly nurtured into resilient trees. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to balancing urban development with environmental stewardship. To date, Brigade has already planted one lakh trees across some of their properties in Bengaluru and Mysuru.

Shri M R Jaishankar, Lifetime Trustee of Brigade Foundation, stated that this initiative is a natural extension of the foundation’s belief that progress must go hand in hand with responsibility. Varun Ravindra, the Founder and Chief Conservator of Vanantara, highlighted that this is a testament to what can be done when urban development embraces ecological responsibility, and the saplings will be nurtured to become resilient trees, which will promote biodiversity, improve air and water quality, and reconnect communities with nature.
