Operational Commentary

The company’s Managing Director & CEO, Abhijit Roy, commented on the results, highlighting a consistent performance in Q2 despite it being a seasonally soft quarter. He noted that while revenue growth was strong, operating profit was impacted by a sharp rise in raw material costs and increased advertisement spends for the new corporate campaign “Rang Bana Rahe”. This led to a marginal decline in standalone operating profit for the quarter. All subsidiaries and joint ventures showed strong growth in topline and operating profit.

Looking ahead, the company anticipates the inflationary trend of raw materials to continue. Berger Paints plans to implement further price increases and cost efficiency initiatives to maintain profit margins.
